Question: I
just installed the Navigation system and there is NO voice during my route.
The woman's voice ONLY speaks when I start the guidance and when I reach my
destination, what's wrong?
Answer:
Your speed sensor wire is not connected correctly. Please recheck your tap
and visit the diagnostic menu to compare the speed on the navigation screen to
your speedometer. The information on how to acquire the diagnostics menu
is back on the main installation help
page.
Question:
The arrow is shaky or jumpy, how do I fix this?
Answer:
Your speed sensor tap may be experiencing interference from other power sources.
Wrap tin foil around the speed sensor wire for shielding. If this does not
work, please recheck your tap and visit the diagnostic menu to compare the speed
on the navigation screen to your speedometer. The information on how to
acquire the diagnostics menu is back on the main
installation help page.
Question: I
just installed the unit, and the navigation unit says I'm thousands of miles
away from where I'm actually located, what's wrong?
Answer:
Please ensure your antenna is connected properly and routed behind the rear view
mirror. Also, the Navigation unit will not pin point your location as soon
as you plug the unit in. You need to drive around for a while until it pin
points your location. More directions on this can be found back at the
main installation help page.
Question: I
hit the CD eject button when there was no CD in the Navigation unit and it made
a VERY loud noise. What's wrong with this unit?
Answer:
There is nothing wrong with the unit, it's a feature that helps purge any CDs
that do not belong. There are CDs that simply do not work with this
navigation unit (mini discs, heart shaped CDs, etc). This is a great
feature to have as most CD players will not even try ejecting a CD if it does
not detect it inserted in the unit.
Question:
When I back out of my drive way or put the vehicle into reverse and drive, the
navigation unit throws me way off course. Why?
Answer:
Your reverse sensor tap is wrong and/or is not connected to the rear of the
Navigation unit.
Question:
Where should I connect the speed and reverse wires to my vehicle?
Answer: We cannot answer this question
as we have not yet acquired the wiring schematics of every vehicle, we can only
tell you where to find the answer. Usually your local car audio shop that
installs OEM and Aftermarket Navigation system (Best Buy, Circuit City,
American, etc) can find these taps for you for a small fee. Through the
diagnostics menu you will be able to tell if these wires are connected
correctly. The information on how to acquire the diagnostics menu is back
on the main installation help
page.
Question: I
really want to purchase a reverse camera, iPod adapter, Sirius/XM radio kit, and
video input kit from you guys, where do I order?
Answer: We DO
NOT sell these parts directly, we merely provide a source of where to acquire
them from.
